Jim and Robin are off and running in their GO (nicknamed LEO – ‘Low Earth Orbiter’) on their 5 week Tour of the East! In search for adventure, and some warmer weather ☀️, the Berzowskis are heading south to Florida and following the coast back up to Milwaukee, WI. Along the way, they are stopping at SylvanSport dealers and giving them a little taste of the GO Life. Here is their latest check in after their stop in Huntsville, AL with Southern RV Wholesale!
Huntsville, AL – Southern RV Wholesale
We visited with the fine folks at SRV today.
They all enjoyed the donuts – we learned from the Modern Trailer visit that the maple/bacon donuts are a big hit, so we made sure there were plenty. They treated us to lunch with them (Thanks to Tina for the Taco Bell take out ☺).
They have a very nice setup for the GOs – the one right when you walk in the front door looks just like our campsite! Drew fills it out with the rug and chair, plus his little grill, table with camp stove, and ice chest/storage container. They also have one in Transport Mode and Travel Mode, and one that they put outside on nice days.
We talked together and singly with Drew, Frank, and the sales folks about camping with the GO and the features. Eddie, one of their sales guys, asked about camping in the cold or the heat. We explained that cold has not been an issue – our coldest night was last Sept in Yellowstone – it got down to 29 degrees, and with our sleeping bags and blankets, it was great. We said our hottest experience was Camp Dark Sky – but that during the day we headed for the hills, as we were all camped in an open field, but that it cooled off enough at night and that the great ventilation allowed comfortable sleeping. Drew and Eddie mentioned a portable air conditioning unit that they tell their buyers about.
Otherwise, we spent the time swapping stories with them, when they were not with customers. They are a showcase for southern hospitality!
We’re off the Birmingham to visit family and see the sights before heading to Florida for more camping!
