Well, it’s been about 4 months since we wrapped up the Coolest. Camper. Ever. Adventure Contest. In case you forgot or are just now starting to follow along, we asked everyone to come up with their dream adventure, and if given the opportunity, how the SylvanSport GO trailer would be part of that adventure. The number of entries we received was incredible and even more than that, the creative, crazy, inspiring, epic, amazing, and just plain fun ideas that you folks have running through your heads made us psyched about the seemingly endless possibilities of what you can do with our GO trailer.
But alas, we can’t give out a GO to everyone and had to narrow it down to 3 finalists. So, without further a do, HERE ARE THE 3 WINNERS AND LITTLE BACKGROUND ON EACH:
GREG HEIL: Social Media Coordinator for Singletracks.com and Tripleblaze.com, as well as a contributing blogger for both of those websites. Currently a senior at the University of North Georgia, Greg is pursuing an English degree with an emphasis in Writing and Publication. While Greg enjoys almost everything that has to do with the outdoors, his preferred sport is mountain biking. Having already ridden well over 300 trails in 18 states, he is extremely excited to take the GO camper to the Pacific Northwest next summer and explore some uncharted territory! His lovely wife, Summer, will be accompanying him on the adventure.
AARON SMITH: Hailing from east Texas, Aaron now calls the mountains of North Carolina his home, along with his wife and 4 “wonderful & adventurous” kids. When he is not working as a saute and broil chef at Mount Mitchell State Park Restaurant, Aaron can most likely be found on some of his favorite rivers (Pigeon, Cheoah, New, and Gauley). Along with kayaking, Aaron has recently discovered and developed a passion for riverboarding. While most of his weekends are spent on the water, Aaron is no stranger to terra firma…he also completed an Appalachian Trail thru-hike in 2007.
MEGHAN WOLFGRAM: A recent DePauw University grad-turned entrepreneur from Palm Bay, FL, most of Meghan’s time is spent working on her company, Swift Paws Lure Coursing Equipment (training dog agility, riding and training horses). Meghan’s business keeps her busy, holding monthly lure coursing events in her hometown and traveling for all sorts of shows and seminars. That said, all work and no play…well, we know. Meghan lives to be active; “I’ll try anything that gets me outside and moving. I scuba dive, read, hike, camp, garden, and do all sorts of crazy things on, off, and behind a boat”. In the midst of all of that, she is also trying to hone her skills at rock climbing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kayaking, sailing, and the list goes on!
