Still love our Go Camper

We bought our Go Camper in July 2018 as an anniversary gift to each other. Some parts are starting to show their age, including us (LOL) but we still love our Go Camper and plan to keep it for a long time.

The coolest camper ever

We bought our GO in the summer of 2020 and have hauled it with our minivan to campgrounds from the Florida Keys to Cape Breton. We wish it had an odometer so we’d know how many thousands of miles it has traveled. It has kept us warm and dry (with the help of our awesome cloud sleep systems) when necessary and has been a great conversation starter with other campers. Sylvan Sport customer service has been wonderful when we’ve needed them, but everything about the GO is so well designed and sturdy that those occasions have been rare.

What are the dimensions and weight limit on the side/sleeping platforms?

The "GO Camper" features a sturdy bed platform with a weight capacity of 500 lbs on each side and 250 lbs on the two center panels. This allows for a total weight capacity of 500 lbs in the middle bed area. Additionally, the bed measures 84" x 65" for ample sleeping space.

What is the tow weight

Good question! The GO is only 840 lbs. so virtually any vehicle can tow it. We have GO Owners that tow with a Mini Cooper, Subaru, Prius, and more. Always check your vehicle's owners manual as some vehicles are designated as "non tow" vehicles and towing anything could void your warranty.

Is there a cord access to run an extension cord into the Go Camper?

Yes, the back of the tent which is against the rear wall is perfect to run an extension cord. You can pull the extension cord in order to feed the wiring through the back of the GO.

Would this be ideal for winter use or is it more of a 3 season tent?

Hello! The SylvanSport GO Camper is ideal for many types of weather but we don't recommend camping when it is heavily snowing so the tent poles are not damaged.

For that reason, the tent is rated as a 3-season tent.

Hello! The GO is very easy to setup. We have customer from all ages using the GO. Our oldest known customer is 92 years old but we do see a lot of customers in their 70s use the GO on their own.
